Summer Outdoor Wedding at Wootton Park

Okay, fetch yourself a cuppa and get comfy because I'm back sharing a beautiful Summer wedding today filled with beautiful photographs and some top tips from the Bride and Groom themselves!

Jenny & Rob tied the knot at the beautiful Wootton Park wedding venue, with a gorgeous outdoor ceremony overlooking the lake (it was actually like something from a fairytale!) and then followed by a day filled with celebrations in the barn! The day was full of so many beautiful moments and personal touches - with one of my favourite's being their Mothers standing as witnesses during the ceremony and having a lovely moment together as their watched their children get married! - good job I had my camera to hide my tears!!

In a nutshell, their day was a perfect blend of of elegance, simplicity, and a love that shone as brightly as the sun on that beautiful day - yep the perfect day ended with the perfect sunset!!

Anyway, Jenny & Rob have helped me create this blog post so it is full of lots of helpful tips and reflections from their big day - so let's get to it!!

Tell us all about your dress

The wedding dress and accessories were from Wed2B. I had seen the dress online prior to visiting the shop, when i tried it on i knew it was the one.

What accessories and shoes did you wear?

My earrings and Necklace were from Swarovski. Shoes were cheap and cheerful from New Look!

What about the Grooms outfit?

The suits were hired from Peter Posh in Warwickshire who did a brilliant job in getting all the men fitted and also rushing over to Wootton Park last minute to swap some trousers that were the wrong size.

Tell us about your Venue

We knew from the second we arrived that we wanted our wedding to be held at Wootton Park. We visited a few other venues beforehand and they just didn't have the same feel to them. We love how secluded it is and all the outside space that was on offer, especially the ceremony area.

How would you describe your wedding?

A fun magical day spent with our families and friends and an absolute rollercoaster of emotions all day.

What was your most vivid memory from your wedding day?

For Jen, it was the initial feeling of walking down the aisle and seeing everyone for the first time.

For Rob, it was the speeches as they just bought so much laughter and tears to the room, they were very special.

What was the theme of your wedding?

Our colour scheme was grey & burgundy. We knew Marrianne Taviner was very clued up when it came to decor for Wootton Park so it was a no brainer for us to give her a few of our ideas and let her put her own touch to the day.

What advice or tips would you share with others who are planning their big day?Plan as early as you can, everyone says it but it really does come around so fast. Take time out from the day to step back and take it all in.

If you could go back in time and do it all over again, would you change anything?

No, we were so happy with how the day went and wouldn't change a moment of it.

What was your favourite photograph from your big day and why?

You took one of us very close up where we are both laughing so much. We have it in black and white and absoloutely love it as it is just so natural.

Were there any funny moments or comedy errors on the day?

The best man speech was just hilariously brilliant. Honestly the only thing that went wrong was the timings of the day pallet falling over. The day could not have gone much smoother.

Would you recommend Grace Nicole Photography to a friend? What would you tell them?

100% yes. I'd tell them to not think twice about booking Grace. She captured everything we wanted and so much more, a true professional.

Thoughts on your Wedding Photographs

A really nice touch was waking up to a few teaser photos the day after our wedding. We've spent ages looking through them all with family. We are so pleased with the photo album we had made through Grace. We really cannot think of any ways Grace can improve.

I would like to thank the very lovely Jenny & Rob for helping me create this blog post as well as being such an amazing couple to photograph!

Hope you all have a great week!
